WHO CAN TAKE AN APPRENTICESHIP?

Apprenticeships are government funded programmes of learning for young adults under the age of 25.

IF THEY ARE IN A WORK PLACEMENT, WILL THEY BE PAID?

Apprentices are employed and receive a minimum of £80 per week.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE AN APPRENTICESHIP?

As Apprenticeship programmes are directly tailored to the needs of the apprentice, the duration can vary. However, usually an Apprenticeship takes 12 to 18 months to achieve and an Advanced Apprenticeship around 2 years.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN APPRENTICESHIP AND AN ADVANCED APPRENTICESHIP?

An Apprenticeship leads to the achievement of a Level 2 NVQ as part of the framework, which is equivalent to 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C and an Advanced Apprenticeship leads to the achievement of a Level 3 NVQ, equivalent to 2 A Levels. At Axia Solutions we offer help and guidance to parents, children and employers about which qualifications are best suited for them.
