As working lives become more demanding, many employers are having concerns regarding the literacy and numeracy skills of their workforce. Poor levels of English and maths are often a problem for employees and with the advent of e-mails and IT in general, these are becoming more apparent.

By introducing a programme to improve numeracy and literacy, delivered in the workplace at times to suit your operations, you can improve the performance and confidence of your employees.

We offer:

Adult Literacy Workshops

These are aimed at people who want to improve their English skills including effective reading and writing techniques. In our working lives we need these skills to be able to communicate effectively, complete forms, read and understand Health & Safety instructions and keep up to date through notice boards and newsletters.

Adult Numeracy Workshops

Everyone needs an understanding of maths and these programmes aim to improve the number skills to make employees more effective. These skills will help in calculating production figures, project work and analysis.

In small, friendly groups, these workshops are designed to put people at ease and build up these skills in an easy to follow, non-threatening way. Programmes are delivered during the working day and take about one to two hours per week. In a relatively short period of time you could see improvements in the skills and the confidence of your employees which has got to be good for any business.

Individuals can work toward a range of qualifications from Entry through to level 2.
